Photography is something that has always interested me. From the first time I picked up a point & click camera I was always looking for different ways of seeing things and capturing moments in time, memories if you like, to reflect back upon.
An image can say a thousand words they say. For me it's about much more than that. An image can transport you back in time to a moment, a place, a shared experience and keep you there captivated by the image you have hanging on your wall or in the palm of your hand.
Nothing beats having a framed moment in time to reflect upon.
What kinds of photography do I do and what interests me?
My favourite kind of photography is something that is challenging. That can be capturing the milky way for example and Astrophotography where I have to be awake at 2 AM and tolerate freezing temperatures and also ensure my equipment doesn't mist up. It could just as easily be Sports Photography where panning shots require a slow shutter to capture the person in still with the background in motion.
When people think of photographers they generally think of Wedding Photography or perhaps Product Photography and while I do shoot these events and have done many of them I am usually drawn more towards the technically challenging types of photography.
I have done Drone Photography in the past along with videography and site surveys and also used 360 cameras to capture fast moving action that requires multiple camera setups on or around moving vehicles.
